Kim Shin-rok

After roping in famous actors Kim Soo-hyun and Cha Seung-won, new crime-thriller drama That Night has also signed up rookie television actress Kim Shin-rok to its exciting cast.

On April 13, an entertainment industry insider told Korean media outlet Beffreport, “It is true that Kim Shin-rok is set to appear in the upcoming drama That Night and has recently started filming.”

That Night will center on the college student Kim Hyun-soo, played by Kim Soo-hyun (It’s Okay To Not Be Okay), whose life takes an unexpected turn when he becomes the key suspect to the murder of a woman. Cha Seung-won (A Korean Odyssey) enters the picture as Shin Joong-han, a low-grade lawyer and the only person who reached out to help Hyun-soo. Together, they make use of every possible means possible to survive in a selfish and ruthless criminal justice system.

Kim Shin-rok will take on the role of Ahn Tae-hee, a perfectionist prosecutor who aims to rise through the ranks and become a chief prosecutor. Kim made her drama debut in the 2020 series The Cursed. She then impressed television viewers once again with her portrayal in the recently concluded drama Beyond Evil (2021). In That Night, Kim is anticipated to render an unforgettable performance opposite Kim Soo-hyun and Cha Seung-won as she transforms into a righteous legal representative of the nation.

A remake of the award-winning BBC series Criminal Justice (2008–2009), That Night is helmed by director Lee Myung-woo of Backstreet Rookie (2020) and penned by screenwriter Kwon Soon-kyu of The Royal Gambler (2016). The drama targets to air in the second half of 2021.
